Guidelines for Political Activity

As tax-exempt organizations, parishes and Catholic Church organizations are prohibited from participating in partisan political activities. However, there are some activities in which you can participate. The Catholic Conference of Illinois has published a brochure, "Guidelines on Political Activities for Parishes and Catholic Church Organizations," which sets out some general guidelines to follow if you wish to participate in these activities. Discover the Catholic Church

CCI wrote and designed Discover the Catholic Church to assist in a variety of ways: in support of general education, formation, and evangelization. Obviously, it is neither long nor detailed enough to comprehensively express the fullness and beauty of Catholic teaching, but we hope that it will serve as an important supplement to efforts on behalf of the Church.
